The Idea

Identity in Motion™

Identity as a verb

Identity in Motion™ invites you into the conversation between experience and meaning. Here you stay in relationship with who you are now while leaving room for the version of you that is emerging.

Each now moment is a chance to choose · You are always emerging

Your identity is shaped by what you notice, experience, choose, repeat, question, and become aware of. It is a moment-to-moment conversation between meaning and experience. Awareness lets you enter that conversation consciously.

Self-concept is a snapshot. Life is a continuum. The aim here is to know yourself deeply without turning that knowing into a limitation.

Identity is a continuum

Who am I becoming?

Identity can feel solid, as if there is a fixed answer to the question “Who am I?” Your identity is continually being shaped by what you experience, notice, repeat, choose and believe, and by what you stop believing.

You are always taking in new information about yourself. Some of it confirms what you know. Some of it expands you, challenges an old assumption, or reveals something that was always there and had not been visible yet. Asking “Who am I becoming?” leaves room for movement.

“Am I describing who I am, or freezing a moment in time?”

Who am I being right now?
